Your Future is in Your Hands

"Work until 65 and then transition to the good life of a worry-free retirement" is the image many of us hold in our mind's eye. But the reality for some, is that this image couldn't be further from the truth.

The days of large, company paid, retirement benefits are quickly dwindling as more and more employers struggle with the high costs of health insurance and other employee benefits. At the same time, the Social Security system is under stress and even in its current form, would not provide enough income for most workers to retire on.

If you want to obtain the money you'll need for a financially secure retirement, you have to take matters into your own hands. And that means that you must save for the years ahead and the sooner you begin, the better off you will be.

A person who begins saving at 45 would have to save over five times as much per year, in order to accumulate the same amount of money as a person who beings saving at age 25.

What better or easier way to save for retirement on a pre-tax basis than through your company sponsored 401(k) plan?
