COBRA UPDATE - Update Regarding COBRA Subsidy Lapse
As we’ve previously communicated to you, the COBRA subsidy eligibility period, originally introduced under ARRA, was further extended under the Temporary Extension Act and again under the Continuing Extension Act, which extended the period through May 31, 2010.

Eligibility for COBRA premium subsidies lapsed as of June 1, however once again, there is pending legislation that may retroactively extend the subsidy for events occurring in June. We will promptly inform you of any changes, retroactive or otherwise, as they are made known.

In order to reduce confusion to those that would be affected if a retroactive subsidy is approved, we will be suspending production of notices for June voluntary and involuntary Qualifying Events until the earlier of the passing of a retroactive subsidy extension or the deadline under COBRA regulations.
